The interest calculator was built to demonstrate the power of compound interest and highlight how much of a difference a small increase in interest rates can provide over a long period of time.

The site was built with Next JS with requests for calculations being made to a Next JS api endpoint. The returned data then creates charts with the AM charts library to give a visual representation of the different in savings in an easy to consume way.

For SEO purposes, I put together an extensive 'about' page with an explanation of how compound interest is calculated.
